MAKING HISTORY IN NAPM-UTAH

Until now, the ISM’s credential for certification has been the Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) designation. The Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is the new professional credential soon replacing the C.P.M.
The CPSM reflects the ever-expanding role of our job in today’s business. There are 91 tasks covered in the CPSM compared to 61 tasks for the C.P.M. There is a large volume of additional reading associated with the CPSM covering the latest trends and thoughts in Supply Management.
In late March, volunteers from NAPM-Utah tool part in a “Study Hall” for the CPSM put together by Rick McGurk and I. On April 1st, 2nd and 3rd, we took the CPSM’s three pilot exams. The results were mailed back on the 17th of May.
