Responsible for planning and purchasing raw materials, sub assemblies, spare parts and finished goods for a manufacturing facility.  Using and maintaining all parameters of an Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP).  Previous experience with implementing SAP is desired. 

Description
1. Use an ERP system to assist the planning function:
a. Maintenance of ERP material master data.
b. Review MRP results and determine required purchasing action
c. Make decisions on Reorder Points and inventory levels to support company inventory plans
d. Work with engineering department to obtain drawings, specifications, or other technical documents as required to purchase materials.
e. Evaluate competitive quotations comparing costs, quality, and leadtime to select the best supplier
f. Generate supplier performance reports.
g. Amend released purchase Orders for delivery dates and/or quantities to support changes in the production schedule.
3. Use and understand engineering drawings and packaging specifications. 
4. Follow and keep updated purchasing procedures and forms in compliance with ISO 9000 quality management system.
5. Purchase all required capital equipment, raw materials, spare parts, and finished goods for distribution.
6. Find multiple sources for all raw materials
7. Maintain required records and documents as required to preserve a history of procurement activities
8. Develop and use measurable goals and objectives to encourage improvement and show progress
9. Establish blanket POs to negotiate volume pricing and keep inventory levels at an optimal level.
10. Ability to show demonstrated cost savings.

We are seeking a degreed individual with (5) years of Purchasing/Materials management experience in a manufacturing setting.  Experience with SAP a plus.  This position is paying 60-65k.
